Gather on the lawn of the Jason Russell House as we welcome a special copy of the Declaration of Independence to Arlington!

Arlington State Representative Sean Garballey, co-chair of the Special Commission on the 250th Anniversary Celebration of the American Revolution, will join members of the Arlington Historical Society and Arlington 250 for a public reading of the Declaration.

This faithful reproduction of Ezekiel Russell’s 1776 printing was hand-printed by Gary Gregory using 18th-century techniques as part of a Rev250-coordinated project. Copies will be delivered to all 351 communities across Massachusetts.

Please join us for the arrival and reading of Arlington’s copy at the Jason Russell House. In the event of rain, the program will be held indoors in the adjacent Exhibit Hall.
